Description

Block digestion system DKL20 is a fully automatic block digestion unit designed for twenty 250 ml digestion vessels (Ø 42 mm). It combines an automatic lift with a stainless-steel housing finished in a corrosion-resistant coating and a stainless-steel rack complete with extraction hood. Fifty-four programmes can be stored, each allowing up to four temperature ramps. Temperature control extends to 450 °C with ±0,5 °C precision, and the timer is adjustable from 1 to 999 minutes. Operation is managed by a microprocessor with LCD graphic display; optional languages include German, English, Spanish, Italian and Russian. Power consumption lies in the 1150–2300 W range. External dimensions are 322 × 690 × 584 mm at a weight of 31 kg. Energy demand is up to 35 % lower than that of conventional instruments, and a USB interface supports connectivity. Additional systems and accessories are available on request from manufacturer LAT. The instrument is intended for laboratories performing water and wastewater analysis that need reliable, high-throughput sample digestion.

Blockaufschluss-System DKL20 is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes LAT for laboratory use. It sits in Laboratory glass thermometers, inside Temperature measurement, in Lab instruments.

A liquid-in-glass thermometer is a calibrated column, often with a stated immersion depth, total or partial. The range and the division decide the reading. A partial-immersion thermometer read at the wrong depth is wrong by design.

A thermometer reports a temperature. A liquid-in-glass thermometer is a calibrated column. A digital thermometer is a sensor and a display, and the sensor, not the display, is what is calibrated. An infrared thermometer reads a surface and depends on emissivity. A data logger stores the reading over time. Without a stated uncertainty and a calibration point, the number is only an indication. The scale is maintained by the BIPM and compared by EURAMET. Accreditation is BELAC.
