Description

BOLA Ex-protected tubing is an antistatic laboratory hose with inner diameter 1,6 mm, outer diameter 3,2 mm and wall thickness 0,8 mm, finished in black. Very good electrical conductivity is achieved through a special antistatic compound of pure PTFE and finest high-purity carbon dust at less than 2,5 percent. The smooth PTFE-based wall offers chemical resistance together with controlled surface conductivity for use where electrostatic charge must be dissipated. Specified bend radius is 13 mm and burst pressure is 140 bar, supporting flexible routing under elevated internal pressure in laboratory fluid lines. Supplied in a 10 m pack, the hose suits continuous runs or cut-to-length installations on apparatus and transfer systems. This antistatic Ex-protection tubing from manufacturer Bohlender is intended for applications that require both PTFE inertness and reliable charge dissipation. Net weight is 0,0124 kg, reflecting the compact cross-section of this fine-bore grade.

This article is part of PVC, PTFE & other tubing, in Tubing, hoses & fittings.

Questions about BOLA Antistatic Explosion-Proof Tubing, Ø 1,6 mm x Ø 3,2 mm t= 0,8 mm Colour: bl

What is this article?

BOLA Antistatic Explosion-Proof Tubing, Ø 1,6 mm x Ø 3,2 mm t= 0,8 mm Colour: bl is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Bohlender for laboratory use. It sits in PVC, PTFE & other tubing, inside Tubing, hoses & fittings, in Labware.

PVC is the flexible everyday tube for water and mild aqueous liquids. PTFE is the stiff, almost inert tube for solvents. Other polymers sit between them. The bore, the wall and the chemical resistance are the specification, and the tube is cut to length.

Tubing is how a liquid or a gas moves between two vessels without being poured. Silicone stays flexible and survives repeated autoclaving. PTFE resists almost every solvent and is stiff. PVC is the ordinary flexible line for water and for mild aqueous work. The fitting, not the tube, is what usually leaks: the barb, the thread and the stopcock have to match the tube bore. Glass and plastic apparatus around these lines is indexed under ISO laboratory ware.
