Description

BOLA bottle top distributor with stopcocks, GL 45, UNF 1/4'' 28G, for tubing 0,8 × 1,6 mm (inner × outer diameter) enables switchable fluid paths on GL 45 laboratory bottles. A black PPS screw cap secures the fitting; the PTFE distributor body carries two UNF 1/4'' 28G internal-thread connections and two intermediate shut-off stopcocks made of FEP. An elastic sealing lip and a rear O-ring compensate for bottle-neck irregularities and provide a tight closure. The medium contacts only the PTFE body by design. The body can be rotated independently of the screw cap, allowing the complete assembly with tubing to be moved to another vessel without twisting the lines. Very good chemical resistance and working temperatures up to +200 °C support routine and demanding laboratory applications. This stopcock version from manufacturer Bohlender is supplied as one piece with a net weight of 0,12 kg and is intended for controlled multi-line distribution on standard GL 45 bottles.

This article is part of Laboratory glass bottles, in Bottles & containers.

Questions about BOLA Distributors for Bottles with stopcocks, GL 45 UNF1/4'' 28G Ø 0,8x1,6mm

What is this article?

BOLA Distributors for Bottles with stopcocks, GL 45 UNF1/4'' 28G Ø 0,8x1,6mm is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Bohlender for laboratory use. It sits in Bottle accessories (pouring rings, dispensers, caps), inside Bottles & containers, in Labware.

Bottle accessories are the pieces on the neck: a pouring ring, a dispenser seat, a cap liner, a tamper ring. They decide how the bottle delivers and whether the closure still matches after the original cap is gone.

A laboratory bottle is a closed container with a stated volume and a neck that takes a cap, a stopper or a dispenser. Borosilicate glass is the choice when the liquid is a solvent, or when the bottle will be heated or autoclaved. Polyethylene and polypropylene are the choice when the bottle must not shatter, or when hydrofluoric acid would attack glass. A narrow mouth pours. A wide mouth is for powders and for reaching the bottom. Laboratory ware of this kind is indexed under ISO laboratory glassware. Traceable volume sits with the BIPM and NIST Physical Measurement.
