Description

BOLA bottle top distributor with stopcocks is a GL 45 laboratory fitting designed for controlled fluid distribution on reagent bottles. A black PPS screw cap mates to the GL 45 bottle thread, while the PTFE distributor body provides connections with internal UNF 1/4'' 28G threads. This configuration includes two intermediate stopcocks and is dimensioned for tubing with an inner diameter of 1,6 mm and an outer diameter of 3,2 mm, with two UNF 1/4'' 28G ports. An elastic sealing lip and rear O-ring compensate for uneven bottle necks and ensure a tight seal. By design, the medium contacts only the PTFE distributor body. The body can be rotated independently of the screw cap, so the complete assembly with attached tubing can be transferred to another vessel without twisting the lines. Offered by manufacturer Bohlender, the unit shows very good chemical resistance and is suitable for working temperatures up to +200 °C. Net weight is 0,121 kg. Supplied as 1 piece for chromatography, sampling and general laboratory fluid handling.

What is this article?

BOLA Distributors for Bottles with stopcocks, GL 45 UNF1/4'' 28G Ø 1,6x3,2mm is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Bohlender for laboratory use. It sits in Bottle accessories (pouring rings, dispensers, caps), inside Bottles & containers, in Labware.

Bottle accessories are the pieces on the neck: a pouring ring, a dispenser seat, a cap liner, a tamper ring. They decide how the bottle delivers and whether the closure still matches after the original cap is gone.

A laboratory bottle is a closed container with a stated volume and a neck that takes a cap, a stopper or a dispenser. Borosilicate glass is the choice when the liquid is a solvent, or when the bottle will be heated or autoclaved. Polyethylene and polypropylene are the choice when the bottle must not shatter, or when hydrofluoric acid would attack glass. A narrow mouth pours. A wide mouth is for powders and for reaching the bottom. Laboratory ware of this kind is indexed under ISO laboratory glassware. Traceable volume sits with the BIPM and NIST Physical Measurement.
