Description

BOLA GL 2-way stopcock EX with GL 14 connections and a straight 4,0 mm bore is a laboratory stopcock made from conductive PTFE-EX for controlled fluid handling. The cylindrical plug of conductive PTFE-EX provides good sealing, and the stopcock carries a clear marking of the flow direction. A red polypropylene handle allows convenient operation. Rated for pressures up to a maximum of 6 bar and suitable for vacuum service, the valve has two GL-threaded ports for connecting tubing or pipes with BOLA laboratory screw joints EX. Approximate external dimensions are 54 × 20 × 38 mm (L × D × H). The material is polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) in a conductive PTFE-EX grade, with a net weight of 0,031 kg. Supplied as one piece, this two-way stopcock from manufacturer Bohlender is intended for laboratory setups that benefit from electrostatic discharge protection through the conductive construction. The straight-bore design supports unobstructed flow when open and is suited to analytical and process work where reliable shut-off and media compatibility are required.

Questions about BOLA GL 2-Way Stopcocks EX, GL 14, Ø 4,0 mm PTFE-EX, cylindrical stopcock plug a

What is this article?

BOLA GL 2-Way Stopcocks EX, GL 14, Ø 4,0 mm PTFE-EX, cylindrical stopcock plug a is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Bohlender for laboratory use. It sits in Stopcocks & valves, inside Tubing, hoses & fittings, in Labware.

A stopcock opens and closes a line, or directs it between ports. Glass stopcocks have a ground plug that needs grease or a PTFE key. The bore decides the flow. A two-way and a three-way key are different parts.

Tubing is how a liquid or a gas moves between two vessels without being poured. Silicone stays flexible and survives repeated autoclaving. PTFE resists almost every solvent and is stiff. PVC is the ordinary flexible line for water and for mild aqueous work. The fitting, not the tube, is what usually leaks: the barb, the thread and the stopcock have to match the tube bore. Glass and plastic apparatus around these lines is indexed under ISO laboratory ware.
