Description

BOLA two-neck ground joint round-bottom flasks with a nominal volume of 100 ml are transparent, pore-free laboratory vessels for distillation, reaction and collection work. Each flask provides one central ground joint neck NS 29/32 and one lateral ground joint neck NS 14/23, allowing condensers, addition funnels or probes to be connected in parallel on a compact spherical body. The flask is made of perfluoroalkoxy alkane (PFA), giving a chemically inert, non-porous surface for demanding media where fluoropolymer construction is preferred. Overall height is 117 mm and the spherical diameter is 67 mm, so the 100 ml vessel sits stably in heating mantles, stands or baths. With two necks in a centre-neck layout, the design supports multi-port organic synthesis, sample work-up and receiving duties. These round-bottom flasks from manufacturer Bohlender are supplied as single pieces with a net weight of 0,05 kg and suit research, process and quality-control laboratories that need standardised NS joints together with PFA inertness for routine preparative and analytical workflows.

What is this article?

BOLA Round Bottom Flasks with Two Ground Joint Necks, 100 ml 1 Center socket siz is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Bohlender for laboratory use. It sits in Round-bottom flasks, inside Beakers & flasks, in Labware.

A round-bottom flask is the heating flask of a distillation or a reflux. The curved wall takes the heat, and the ground neck connects to a still head or a condenser. The joint size, not only the volume, has to match the rest of the set.

A beaker is an open working vessel: easy to pour, poor as a measure. An Erlenmeyer flask has a flat base and a conical wall so a liquid can be swirled without climbing out. A round-bottom flask is for heating under a condenser, because the heat meets a curved wall and the joint at the neck connects to the rest of the glassware. Borosilicate is the glass that survives the temperature change. These forms are listed under ISO laboratory glassware.
