Description
BOLA Solo stirrer shaft, length 1000 mm with shaft diameter 10 mm, is a PTFE-coated stainless steel shaft with a welded lower end for reliable immersion stirring. Process media contact only PTFE, delivering universal chemical resistance against corrosive and solvent-based systems. Chuck diameter is 8,0 mm, enabling firm mounting up to the chuck on common laboratory overhead drives. Net weight is 0,45 kg. Offered by manufacturer Bohlender, this longer shaft supports deeper vessels and larger working volumes in propeller-stirrer configurations. The continuous PTFE jacket protects the steel core, and the sealed tip stops medium from entering the shaft. Supplied as 1 piece, it is well suited to chemical synthesis, scale-up work and routine laboratory mixing where both reach and chemical inertness matter. Stable mechanical design maintains alignment and integrity through repeated use in demanding environments while preserving product purity.

Questions about BOLA Solo Stirrer Shafts, L 1000 mm, Ø 10 mm Shaft dia.: 10 mm Stainless-steel s
What is this article?
BOLA Solo Stirrer Shafts, L 1000 mm, Ø 10 mm Shaft dia.: 10 mm Stainless-steel s is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Bohlender for laboratory use. It sits in Stirring shafts, propellers & impellers, inside Stirring, shaking & mixing, in Lab instruments.
A shaft, a propeller or an impeller is the wetted end of an overhead stirrer. The diameter and the pitch decide whether the liquid turns over. The material, stainless steel or PTFE, decides what the liquid may be. The chuck size has to match the stirrer.
Stirring keeps a mixture uniform or helps a solid dissolve. A magnetic stirrer spins a bar inside a closed vessel. An overhead stirrer drives a shaft when the liquid is viscous or the volume is large. A vortex mixer agitates a tube. A shaker moves a whole rack or a plate. The shape of the impeller and the speed decide whether the liquid turns over or merely spins. The vessels being stirred are indexed under ISO laboratory glassware.
