Description

BOLA Standard Ground Joint Stirrer Seals, NS 19/26 for Ø 6 mm shafts with GL 18 PTFE construction and PTFE/FKM sealing, provide a compact shaft seal for standard ground-joint stirring setups. The joint core is made of PTFE and incorporates raised sealing rings that seal inside the ground socket. Reduced bearing area on these rings makes the core easier to release from the socket and helps lower the risk of glass breakage during handling. A specialised PTFE seal with an FKM O-ring is pressed by a metered GL screw cap in PPS to achieve the correct seal against the stirrer shaft. Dimensions include a European-standard NS 19/26 core, suitability for 6 mm stirrer shafts, an overall length of approximately 63 mm and a GL 18 cap thread. Material is polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) with a net weight of 0,045 kg per piece. These stirrer seals from manufacturer Bohlender suit routine laboratory stirring through NS 19/26 joints where chemical resistance, reliable shaft sealing and gentle joint engagement are important. Supplied as a single unit for straightforward integration into existing glassware trains.

This article is part of Lids & seals, in Stoppers, caps & closures.

Questions about BOLA Stirrer Bearings, NS 19/26 Ø 6 mm GL 18 PTFE, PTFE/FKM gasket

What is this article?

BOLA Stirrer Bearings, NS 19/26 Ø 6 mm GL 18 PTFE, PTFE/FKM gasket is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Bohlender for laboratory use. It sits in Lids & seals, inside Stoppers, caps & closures, in Labware.

Lids and seals are the covers of dishes, jars and tanks: a snap lid, a sealing film, a gasket. The seal is doing the work. A lid that only rests on the rim does not contain a volatile liquid.

A closure is the part that decides whether a bottle stays shut and whether the contents attack the seal. A ground-glass stopper matches a ground neck. A screw cap needs the right thread and a liner that survives the liquid. Rubber and silicone stoppers push into a mouth. The liner, not the colour of the cap, is the chemical choice. The vessels they close are indexed under ISO laboratory glassware.
