Description

BOLA Standard Ground Joint Stirrer Seal NS 24/29 is a laboratory stirrer closure featuring a polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) ground joint core with raised sealing rings that seal inside the ground joint socket. The reduced bearing surface of the rings eases release of the core from the socket and helps reduce glass breakage. A specialised PTFE seal with an FKM O-ring, actuated by controlled pressure from the GL screw cap made of PPS, ensures proper sealing against the stirrer shaft. This version is designed for stirrer shafts of 10 mm diameter, has an overall length of approximately 70 mm, and carries a GL 25 cap thread. European standard NS 24/29 joint geometry supports integration into standard laboratory glassware for sealed stirring work. The PTFE accessory from manufacturer Bohlender follows the BOLA design with PPS screw cap and PTFE/FKM sealing. Supplied as 1 pc with a net weight of 0,075 kg, it addresses NS 24/29 applications that need a ground-joint stirrer seal matched to 10 mm shafts.

This article is part of Lids & seals, in Stoppers, caps & closures.

Questions about BOLA Stirrer Bearings, NS 24/29 Ø 10 mm GL 25 PTFE, PTFE/FKM gasket

What is this article?

BOLA Stirrer Bearings, NS 24/29 Ø 10 mm GL 25 PTFE, PTFE/FKM gasket is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Bohlender for laboratory use. It sits in Lids & seals, inside Stoppers, caps & closures, in Labware.

Lids and seals are the covers of dishes, jars and tanks: a snap lid, a sealing film, a gasket. The seal is doing the work. A lid that only rests on the rim does not contain a volatile liquid.

A closure is the part that decides whether a bottle stays shut and whether the contents attack the seal. A ground-glass stopper matches a ground neck. A screw cap needs the right thread and a liner that survives the liquid. Rubber and silicone stoppers push into a mouth. The liner, not the colour of the cap, is the chemical choice. The vessels they close are indexed under ISO laboratory glassware.
