Description

BOLA double-blade stirring shaft RS is a laboratory stirrer shaft built for controlled surface and bulk mixing. It comprises a stainless-steel shaft fully coated with polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) and two PTFE stirring blades arranged crosswise and offset by 90°. The upper blade is secured with clamping screws made from a PEEK compound for reliable fixation during operation. Overall length is 1000 mm, shaft diameter 16 mm, clamping diameter 10 mm and blade spacing 150 mm; blade dimensions A–B–C are 140 mm, 25 mm and 12 mm. Because the process medium contacts only PTFE, the design supports broad chemical resistance in aggressive laboratory environments. Net weight is 1,602 kg. This RS configuration from manufacturer Bohlender is intended for research, development and production setups that require inert wetted surfaces and defined double-blade geometry. Supplied as 1 piece, it pairs with compatible drives and chucks for reproducible agitation of liquids and suspensions where PTFE contact materials are preferred.

What is this article?

BOLA Stirrer Shafts with Two Paddles RCD, L 1000 mm Ø 16 mm 140x25 mm Reduced Ch is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Bohlender for laboratory use. It sits in Stirring shafts, propellers & impellers, inside Stirring, shaking & mixing, in Lab instruments.

A shaft, a propeller or an impeller is the wetted end of an overhead stirrer. The diameter and the pitch decide whether the liquid turns over. The material, stainless steel or PTFE, decides what the liquid may be. The chuck size has to match the stirrer.

Stirring keeps a mixture uniform or helps a solid dissolve. A magnetic stirrer spins a bar inside a closed vessel. An overhead stirrer drives a shaft when the liquid is viscous or the volume is large. A vortex mixer agitates a tube. A shaker moves a whole rack or a plate. The shape of the impeller and the speed decide whether the liquid turns over or merely spins. The vessels being stirred are indexed under ISO laboratory glassware.
