Description

BOLA ground joint swivel screw fittings NS 29/32 for 10 mm outer diameter are laboratory connectors that secure sensors, tubes or hoses in standard ground-joint apparatus. The ground joint body is made of polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) and the screw cap of PPS, giving a chemically resistant assembly for routine laboratory use. In practice the sensor, tube or hose is first passed through the fitting; the fitting is then inserted into the ground joint and the inserted element is fixed in the desired position by tightening the cap. A maximum deflection angle of 6° allows limited angular adjustment while the connection remains held. The screw cap carries a GL 25 thread. These BOLA fittings from manufacturer Bohlender are intended for setups that require adjustable positioning of probes or tubing inside NS 29/32 joints without additional adapters. Each unit is supplied as one piece and has a net weight of 0,0672 kg. The design supports straightforward installation, repositioning and sealing of tubing or sensors in analytical and preparative glassware where ground-joint connections are standard.

Questions about BOLA Swivelling Screw Fittings with Ground Joint, NS 29/32, a Ø 10 mm, max. 6° P

What is this article?

BOLA Swivelling Screw Fittings with Ground Joint, NS 29/32, a Ø 10 mm, max. 6° P is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Bohlender for laboratory use. It sits in Screw caps & closures, inside Stoppers, caps & closures, in Labware.

A screw cap has a thread and a liner. The thread has to match the bottle. The liner has to survive the liquid: a pulp liner fails in a solvent that a PTFE-faced liner ignores. The colour of the cap is not the specification.

A closure is the part that decides whether a bottle stays shut and whether the contents attack the seal. A ground-glass stopper matches a ground neck. A screw cap needs the right thread and a liner that survives the liquid. Rubber and silicone stoppers push into a mouth. The liner, not the colour of the cap, is the chemical choice. The vessels they close are indexed under ISO laboratory glassware.
