Description
BOLA vacuum filtration units are complete fluoroplastic systems designed for vacuum filtration of aggressive or high-purity laboratory media. The PTFE filtration head features a multi-stage olive with integrated locking screw for vacuum hoses of 6 and 8 mm inner diameter and a PTFE support disc for optional membranes of 90 mm diameter. Receiving vessel and filling container with slip-on contamination cover are manufactured from PFA, providing 1000 ml capacity, an outer diameter of 130 mm and a total height of 370 mm. Effective filter area is 55,4 cm². Free of plasticizers, the assembly is nearly universally chemically resistant and does not leach trace elements into the filtered medium; the anti-adhesive surface supports straightforward cleaning and repeated deployment. Offered by manufacturer Bohlender, this larger 1000 ml format suits higher-volume sample work where conventional materials lack sufficient inertness. Net weight is 2,475 kg per unit. Filter membranes are available separately and chosen according to pore size and application needs.

What is this article?
BOLA Vacuum Filters, 1000 ml Fully made of fluoroplastics (PTFE/PFA) membrane di is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Bohlender for laboratory use. It sits in Bottle-top & vacuum filtration units, inside Filtration, in Lab consumables.
A bottle-top filter or a vacuum filtration unit sits on a bottle and pulls a liquid through a membrane under vacuum. Pore size and membrane are the same choice as a syringe filter, at a larger area. A sterile unit is a stated claim. The bottle neck has to match.
Filtration holds back what is larger than the pores and lets the rest through. Paper is the ordinary laboratory filter. A membrane has a stated pore size and a polymer that must survive the solvent. A syringe filter is that membrane in a housing on a syringe. Glass fibre takes a higher dirt load. Ultrafiltration holds back macromolecules and passes salts. The pore size, the chemical compatibility and the volume are the three choices. Laboratory apparatus around filtration is indexed under ISO laboratory apparatus.
