Description
Water sample bottle PP with sodium thiosulfate, brown, sterile (R), 125 ml is a polypropylene container intended for the collection, transport and storage of water samples for microbiological analysis. It is suitable for any workflow that requires a sterile specimen. The bottles are manufactured in aseptically controlled production halls and then sterilised by gamma irradiation; batch numbers as well as manufacturing and expiry dates are indicated on the packaging. A square body shape improves handling and saves storage space, while the GL 50 neck allows easy filling and pouring. The polyethylene cap is equipped with wide grip grooves, a self-locking mechanism and an internal safety ring; its internal design provides a hermetic, leak-proof seal. Embossed volume graduations on the side walls give a clear view of the liquid level. Pre-dosed with sodium thiosulfate at 20 mg/l according to ISO/FIS 19458/2006, the bottle is ideal for water analysis whenever residual chlorine could alter sample composition. The brown polypropylene formulation prevents UV light penetration while still offering high transparency. These sterile bottles from manufacturer ISOLAB Laborgeräte are supplied in a pack of 180 pieces.

What is this article?
bottle - water sampling - P.P - with sodium thiosulfate - amber - sterile R - is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes ISOLAB for laboratory use. It sits in Plastic bottles (narrow & wide mouth), inside Bottles & containers, in Labware.
A plastic bottle is polyethylene, polypropylene or a fluoropolymer, narrow-mouth for pouring or wide-mouth for powders. It is the choice when the bottle must not shatter, and it is the wrong choice for solvents that swell the plastic.
A laboratory bottle is a closed container with a stated volume and a neck that takes a cap, a stopper or a dispenser. Borosilicate glass is the choice when the liquid is a solvent, or when the bottle will be heated or autoclaved. Polyethylene and polypropylene are the choice when the bottle must not shatter, or when hydrofluoric acid would attack glass. A narrow mouth pours. A wide mouth is for powders and for reaching the bottom. Laboratory ware of this kind is indexed under ISO laboratory glassware. Traceable volume sits with the BIPM and NIST Physical Measurement.
