Description

Water sample bottle PP with sodium thiosulfate, brown, sterile (R), 500 ml is a polypropylene vessel designed for sampling, transport and storage of water intended for microbiological examination. It can be used in every analysis that requires a sterile sample. Manufactured under aseptic conditions and subsequently gamma-sterilised, each pack carries batch, manufacturing and expiry information. The square profile aids secure handling and compact storage; the wide GL 50 neck simplifies filling and emptying. The polyethylene screw cap incorporates broad grip ribs, a self-locking mechanism and an internal safety ring that together create a hermetic, leak-tight closure. Side-wall embossed graduations allow rapid volume assessment. Containing sodium thiosulfate at 20 mg/l in line with ISO/FIS 19458/2006, the bottle is particularly suited to chlorinated waters where residual disinfectant might otherwise change the sample matrix. Brown PP of special composition prevents UV penetration while still offering good transparency. Supplied by manufacturer ISOLAB Laborgeräte, these sterile bottles support reliable field and laboratory water testing.

Borosilicate glass is the choice when the liquid is a solvent, or when the bottle will be heated or autoclaved. Polyethylene and polypropylene are the choice when the bottle must not shatter, or when hydrofluoric acid would attack glass. A narrow mouth pours. A wide mouth is for powders and for reaching the bottom. Laboratory ware of this kind is indexed under ISO laboratory glassware. Traceable volume sits with the BIPM and NIST Physical Measurement.
