Description

Centrifuge 5430 R (EU-IVD) is a refrigerated non-automatic centrifuge with foil keypad, delivered with rotor FA-45-30-11 including rotor lid for 230 V/50–60 Hz (EU). Maximum rotor capacity is 48 × 1,5/2,0 ml, 6 × 50 ml and 2 × MTP, with a maximum speed of 30 130 × g (17 500 rpm). Twelve available rotors provide broad application flexibility across microtubes, larger conical tubes and microplates. One-finger lid operation, menu-guided multilingual control (English, German, French, Spanish) and a large backlit LC display support clear daily use. Five program keys and storage for up to 50 user-defined settings streamline routine protocols. Automatic rotor and imbalance detection, together with the Eppendorf QuickLock® rotor-lid system, contribute to safe and efficient handling. From manufacturer Eppendorf, this model is intended to separate liquid mixtures from the human body and is specifically designated for use as an accessory with an in-vitro diagnostic device in line with its intended purpose. The product meets the requirements of EU IVDR 2017/746 and is designed for indoor operation by trained laboratory personnel only.

What is this article?

CENT 5430R KEYP, 30x2ML AT-RTR, 230V is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Eppendorf for laboratory use. It sits in Rotors, inside Centrifuges, in Lab instruments.

A centrifuge rotor is the rotating part that holds the tubes, and it is rated for a maximum speed and a maximum load. A swing-out rotor and a fixed-angle rotor pellet differently. A rotor from another centrifuge does not belong on this drive, even when it seems to fit.

A centrifuge separates by density. The rotor spins the sample and the force is reported as a multiple of gravity, not as a raw speed, because the same revolutions per minute are a different force at a different radius. A microcentrifuge takes small tubes. A benchtop or floor model takes larger rotors. The tube, the adapter and the rotor have to be the combination the manufacturer rated. An unbalanced load is how centrifuges fail. Measurement of the related quantities sits with the BIPM.
