Description

Centrifuge 5427 R is a refrigerated benchtop centrifuge with rotary knobs, supplied with Rotor FA-45-48-11 and configured for 230 V/50–60 Hz (EU). Cooling uses natural refrigerant R290 to support sample protection during temperature-controlled runs. Rotor capacity reaches 48 × 1,5/2,0 mL or 12 × 5,0 mL; the Eppendorf QuickLock® rotor enables fast, ergonomic lid closure. Maximum speed is 25001 × g (16220 rpm). The high-capacity 48-place rotor raises throughput, while a soft-touch lid, automatic rotor and imbalance detection, and an integrated condensate drain support safe daily use. Temperature range spans −11 °C to 40 °C, with FastTemp pre-cooling from about 23 °C to 4 °C in only 11 minutes. ECO shut-off after 1, 2, 4 or 8 hours of inactivity can extend compressor life and lower energy use. ACT-certified via My Green Lab, this Eppendorf package ships as one piece (net 34,200 kg; gross 37 kg; packaging volume 0,146 m³).

What is this article?

Centr. 5427RG+Rotor48 230V/50-60Hz is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Eppendorf for laboratory use. It sits in Rotors, inside Centrifuges, in Lab instruments.

A centrifuge rotor is the rotating part that holds the tubes, and it is rated for a maximum speed and a maximum load. A swing-out rotor and a fixed-angle rotor pellet differently. A rotor from another centrifuge does not belong on this drive, even when it seems to fit.

A centrifuge separates by density. The rotor spins the sample and the force is reported as a multiple of gravity, not as a raw speed, because the same revolutions per minute are a different force at a different radius. A microcentrifuge takes small tubes. A benchtop or floor model takes larger rotors. The tube, the adapter and the rotor have to be the combination the manufacturer rated. An unbalanced load is how centrifuges fail. Measurement of the related quantities sits with the BIPM.
