Description

CHROMABOND columns CN are solid-phase extraction columns intended for chromatography accessories and sample-preparation work, supplied with a 1 mL volume and a 100 mg cyanopropyl (CN) sorbent bed. The CN phase provides intermediate polarity, enabling mixed polar and hydrophobic interactions during SPE conditioning, loading and elution. Each column is constructed from polypropylene (PP) and fitted with polyethylene (PE) filter elements that hold the packing in place under vacuum or positive-pressure processing. Available in a pack of 100 pieces from manufacturer Macherey-Nagel, the small 1 mL format suits limited sample volumes and economical solvent use on multi-position SPE manifolds. The 100 mg fill mass defines a compact bed for method development and routine clean-up prior to chromatographic analysis. Uniform PP housings and PE frits across the pack support consistent column handling and flow behaviour in laboratory SPE sequences. These CHROMABOND CN columns integrate readily into standard sample-preparation racks where cyanopropyl selectivity is specified for polar to moderately non-polar analytes.

Questions about Chromab. columns CN, 1 mL, 100 mg

What is this article?

Chromab. columns CN, 1 mL, 100 mg is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Macherey-Nagel for laboratory use. It sits in SPE cartridges & columns, inside SPE & sample preparation, in Chromatography equipment.

An SPE cartridge holds a bed of sorbent. Bed mass, sorbent chemistry and volume are the specification. A 100 mg C18 cartridge and a 1 g C18 cartridge take different sample loads and different elution volumes. The method names all three.

Solid-phase extraction holds a compound on a sorbent while the rest of the sample is washed away, then releases it in a small volume. The sorbent, the bed mass and the solvents are the method. Silica, ion exchangers and polymer phases do different jobs. A flash column is the same idea scaled toward purification rather than trace cleanup. The molecules are on PubChem, named by IUPAC.
