Description

CHROMABOND HLB columns (30 µm) are fine-grained solid-phase extraction columns for laboratory sample clean-up and enrichment. They combine a 30 µm particle size with a 6 mL tube volume and a 150 mg sorbent bed, giving a compact format suited to controlled SPE workflows. Housing is polypropylene (PP) with polyethylene (PE) filter elements that hold the sorbent in place during conditioning, loading, washing and elution. Each pack contains 30 columns and comes from manufacturer Macherey-Nagel as part of the CHROMABOND HLB series. The finer 30 µm grade is selected when higher surface interaction and tighter beds are preferred for demanding matrices, while the hydrophilic–lipophilic balanced polymer phase supports retention of both polar and non-polar analytes from aqueous samples. Defined volume, fill weight and PE frits facilitate reproducible handling on manual manifolds or automated SPE systems prior to chromatographic or spectrometric determination. These columns integrate readily into established laboratory SPE methods used across pharmaceutical, environmental and food analysis.

Questions about Chromab. columns HLB (30 µm), 6 mL,150mg

What is this article?

Chromab. columns HLB (30 µm), 6 mL,150mg is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Macherey-Nagel for laboratory use. It sits in SPE cartridges & columns, inside SPE & sample preparation, in Chromatography equipment.

An SPE cartridge holds a bed of sorbent. Bed mass, sorbent chemistry and volume are the specification. A 100 mg C18 cartridge and a 1 g C18 cartridge take different sample loads and different elution volumes. The method names all three.

Solid-phase extraction holds a compound on a sorbent while the rest of the sample is washed away, then releases it in a small volume. The sorbent, the bed mass and the solvents are the method. Silica, ion exchangers and polymer phases do different jobs. A flash column is the same idea scaled toward purification rather than trace cleanup. The molecules are on PubChem, named by IUPAC.
