Description

CHROMABOND HR-XCW columns are solid-phase extraction columns packed with a weak mixed-mode cation exchanger on a polymer basis. Each 3 mL polypropylene column contains 500 mg of sorbent and is fitted with polyethylene filter elements for secure bed retention during conditioning, loading, washing and elution. The mixed-mode polymer phase combines weak cation-exchange sites with reversed-phase character, supporting selective enrichment and clean-up of cationic and basic analytes prior to chromatographic analysis. Packs of 30 columns from manufacturer Macherey-Nagel provide a convenient stock level for routine SPE method development and sample preparation. The higher 500 mg bed mass offers increased capacity relative to lower-load formats in the same 3 mL geometry, which is useful for more complex matrices or higher analyte loads. Polypropylene housings with PE frits are compatible with common SPE solvents and buffer systems. These chromatography accessories integrate into standard vacuum or positive-pressure manifolds used in analytical laboratories.

Questions about Chromab. columns HR-XCW, 3 mL, 500 mg

What is this article?

Chromab. columns HR-XCW, 3 mL, 500 mg is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Macherey-Nagel for laboratory use. It sits in SPE cartridges & columns, inside SPE & sample preparation, in Chromatography equipment.

An SPE cartridge holds a bed of sorbent. Bed mass, sorbent chemistry and volume are the specification. A 100 mg C18 cartridge and a 1 g C18 cartridge take different sample loads and different elution volumes. The method names all three.

Solid-phase extraction holds a compound on a sorbent while the rest of the sample is washed away, then releases it in a small volume. The sorbent, the bed mass and the solvents are the method. Silica, ion exchangers and polymer phases do different jobs. A flash column is the same idea scaled toward purification rather than trace cleanup. The molecules are on PubChem, named by IUPAC.
