Description

CHROMABOND Flash RS 200 C18 ec is a ready-to-use flash chromatography column packed with endcapped C18 reversed-phase silica of 15–40 µm particle size. The sorbent bed contains 220 g of C18 ec material, suited to preparative and flash separations of moderately polar to non-polar analytes under reversed-phase conditions. The column body is manufactured from polypropylene and fitted with polyethylene filter elements that retain the packing while allowing stable solvent flow. Supplied as a single unit from manufacturer Macherey-Nagel, this Flash RS 200 format supports laboratory workflows that require reproducible reversed-phase flash purification without on-site packing. Typical uses include natural-product isolation, intermediate clean-up and method scale-up where C18 selectivity and controlled particle-size distribution are required. The polypropylene housing with PE filters offers chemical compatibility with common organic and aqueous mobile phases used in flash systems. Each pack contains one pre-filled column, ready for connection to standard flash chromatography equipment.

This article is part of SPE cartridges & columns, in SPE & sample preparation.

Questions about Chromab. Flash RS 200 C18 ec, 15-40 µm

What is this article?

Chromab. Flash RS 200 C18 ec, 15-40 µm is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Macherey-Nagel for laboratory use. It sits in SPE cartridges & columns, inside SPE & sample preparation, in Chromatography equipment.

An SPE cartridge holds a bed of sorbent. Bed mass, sorbent chemistry and volume are the specification. A 100 mg C18 cartridge and a 1 g C18 cartridge take different sample loads and different elution volumes. The method names all three.

Solid-phase extraction holds a compound on a sorbent while the rest of the sample is washed away, then releases it in a small volume. The sorbent, the bed mass and the solvents are the method. Silica, ion exchangers and polymer phases do different jobs. A flash column is the same idea scaled toward purification rather than trace cleanup. The molecules are on PubChem, named by IUPAC.
