Description

CHROMAFIL Multi 96 GF membrane filtration plate is a monoblock multiwell filtration plate fitted with a glass fibre (GF) filter element of nominal 3 µm pore size for chromatography sample preparation. Built in microtiter-plate format, it supports parallel clarification of multiple aliquots in one run when used with compatible vacuum or positive-pressure manifolds and collection systems. The glass fibre medium is intended for reducing suspended solids ahead of further analytical work, and the nominal 3 µm rating places the plate in the coarse-to-medium clarification range rather than sterile barrier filtration. Monoblock construction presents the filtration geometry as a single rigid unit, which simplifies handling, alignment and transfer during routine laboratory use. Each pack contains 1 pc and comes from manufacturer Macherey-Nagel as part of the CHROMAFIL Multi 96 accessory range. The plate is supplied non-sterile for general laboratory applications. Net and gross weight are both 0,10 kg, and the compact pack dimensions suit storage beside other multiwell consumables. Laboratories running high-throughput clean-up prior to liquid chromatography or related techniques can specify this GF monoblock plate wherever a 3 µm glass fibre stage in 96-well format is required.

This article is part of SPE cartridges & columns, in SPE & sample preparation.

Questions about CHROMAFIL Multi 96 empty, w. GF-frits,3µ

What is this article?

CHROMAFIL Multi 96 empty, w. GF-frits,3µ is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Macherey-Nagel for laboratory use. It sits in SPE cartridges & columns, inside SPE & sample preparation, in Chromatography equipment.

An SPE cartridge holds a bed of sorbent. Bed mass, sorbent chemistry and volume are the specification. A 100 mg C18 cartridge and a 1 g C18 cartridge take different sample loads and different elution volumes. The method names all three.

Solid-phase extraction holds a compound on a sorbent while the rest of the sample is washed away, then releases it in a small volume. The sorbent, the bed mass and the solvents are the method. Silica, ion exchangers and polymer phases do different jobs. A flash column is the same idea scaled toward purification rather than trace cleanup. The molecules are on PubChem, named by IUPAC.
