Description

Cl2 00595 chlorine (free) reaction cuvette test provides photometric determination of free chlorine in the measuring range 0,03–6,00 mg/l Cl2. The DPD method is applied with a sample volume of 5 ml, and the pack contains 200 individual tests presented in 16 mm round cuvettes for direct photometer reading. The procedure corresponds to DIN 38408 G4 and EN ISO 7393, ensuring alignment with established water-analysis standards. Compatible with PhotoLab® and pHotoFlex® instruments, the kit supports routine monitoring of free chlorine in drinking water, process water and disinfection control. Batch certificates accompany each production lot, facilitating documentation and quality assurance. Manufactured by WTW - a Xylem brand, the reaction cuvette format simplifies sample handling by eliminating transfer steps and reducing the risk of chlorine loss. The wide measuring range covers both low residual levels and higher process concentrations, while the 16 mm round geometry fits standard instrument holders. This configuration offers laboratories a practical, standards-compliant solution for reliable free-chlorine quantification in daily analytical work.

This article is part of Cuvette tests (Nanocolor), in Test kits & water analysis.

Questions about Cl2 00595, Chlorine (free & total) Reaction Cuvette Test

What is this article?

Cl2 00595, Chlorine (free & total) Reaction Cuvette Test is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes WTW - a Xylem brand for laboratory use. It sits in Cuvette tests (Nanocolor), inside Test kits & water analysis, in Lab chemicals.

A cuvette test is a ready optical cell containing the reagents for one water or one chemical determination. The sample is added, the cell goes into a photometer, and the range printed on the box is the range of the answer. It is a method, packaged, not a bottle of reagent to assemble.

A test kit turns a chemical question into a colour, a titre or a reading on a strip, so the operator does not have to assemble the method from separate reagents. A cuvette test is a ready optical cell. A strip is a field reading. The range printed on the kit is the range where the answer means something. Outside it, the kit is silent or wrong. The substances inside are on PubChem. Water measurement traces to NIST.
