Description

Prepared COD vials (HR) 200 - 15000 mg/l are mercury-free, reagent-filled tubes for photometric determination of chemical oxygen demand in the high range. Each vial measures Ø 16 mm × 100 mm and contains 3,3 ml of reagents, of which 2,4 ml is sulfuric acid (CAS 7664-93-9). The pre-dosed format supports rapid CSB/COD workflows without manual reagent preparation. These 16 mm vials are compatible with the PrimeLab 1.0 Multitest WATER-ID photometer and with instruments from LOVIBOND, WTW, MACHEREY-NAGEL, MERCK, HANNA, AQUALYTIC, PALIN, BIOCHROM, HACH and other brands that accept standard 16 mm vials. Supplied in a pack of 25 pieces from manufacturer Labbox, the mercury-free chemistry is a safer choice for operators and the environment. Precision and reliability are not equivalent to mercury-based methods; many authorities still require mercuric sulfate to suppress chloride interference in compliance testing. Ideal for routine high-range COD screening of water and wastewater samples in environmental and industrial laboratories.

What is this article?

COD (HR) 200 - 15000 mg/l prepared vials, mercury-free, 25 pcs is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Labbox for laboratory use. It sits in ICP, AAS & ion standards, inside Analytical standards & reference materials, in Lab chemicals.

An ICP, AAS or ion standard is a solution of a stated element or ion at a stated concentration, with an uncertainty. It is the calibration point of a spectrometer or an electrode. The matrix, often dilute acid, has to match the method. A standard past its expiry is not that concentration.

A reference material is the article against which another result is compared. Its value is stated, and the uncertainty of that value is part of the product. An ICP or ion standard is a solution of known concentration. A volumetric standard is for titration. A chromatography standard is the peak you match. The grade names, including pharmacopoeia and ASTM, say which impurities were limited. Identity is checked on PubChem. Names follow IUPAC. Medicinal grades follow the European Pharmacopoeia and USP.
