Description

CPC coupling in POM, male version with valve and compression fitting for tubing Ø 6×8 mm, provides a fast, secure link for liquids, gases, compressed air and vacuum. High quality, proven reliability, small space demand, maximum flow, one-hand handling and an attractive design define these quick-disconnect couplings for laboratory and process applications. A reliable O-ring seal ensures leak-tight performance. Within the same flow size, all couplings (female) and nipples (male) are fully interchangeable. Spring and locking parts are stainless steel V4A. The POM body uses a Buna-N standard seal, with operating pressure from vacuum to 10 bar at 20 °C and operating temperature from −40 °C to +80 °C. With the valved design, parts lock automatically on connection and open the valves; on one-hand decoupling the valves close automatically so leakage is prevented. These couplings suit connecting and disconnecting hoses, instruments, apparatus and containers. This valved male compression fitting from manufacturer Bürkle is supplied as one piece (net weight 0,014 kg) for controlled fluid handling with automatic shut-off.

This article is part of Stopcocks & valves, in Tubing, hoses & fittings.

Questions about CPC coupling, POM, male, w/ valve, screw Ø 6x8 mm

What is this article?

CPC coupling, POM, male, w/ valve, screw Ø 6x8 mm is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Bürkle for laboratory use. It sits in Stopcocks & valves, inside Tubing, hoses & fittings, in Labware.

A stopcock opens and closes a line, or directs it between ports. Glass stopcocks have a ground plug that needs grease or a PTFE key. The bore decides the flow. A two-way and a three-way key are different parts.

Tubing is how a liquid or a gas moves between two vessels without being poured. Silicone stays flexible and survives repeated autoclaving. PTFE resists almost every solvent and is stiff. PVC is the ordinary flexible line for water and for mild aqueous work. The fitting, not the tube, is what usually leaks: the barb, the thread and the stopcock have to match the tube bore. Glass and plastic apparatus around these lines is indexed under ISO laboratory ware.
