Description

CPC coupling in POM, male version without valve and with hose barb Ø 6,4 mm, is a quick-release connector for liquids, gases, compressed air and vacuum. The design emphasises proven reliability, a compact footprint, high flow capacity and simple one-hand operation, while meeting demanding laboratory and technical requirements. A secure O-ring seal keeps the joint tight in service. Within the same flow size, couplings (female parts) and nipples (male parts) can be freely combined. The POM body is fitted with a Buna-N seal as standard and is specified for operating pressures from vacuum to 10 bar at 20 °C, with an operating temperature range of −40 °C to +80 °C. This single-piece coupling from manufacturer Bürkle is well suited to connecting and disconnecting hoses, instruments, apparatus and containers where leak-tight performance and easy handling are essential. Its compact form supports installation in confined layouts without sacrificing flow or sealing integrity.

This article is part of Stopcocks & valves, in Tubing, hoses & fittings.

Questions about CPC coupling, POM, male, w/o valve, nozzle Ø 6,4mm

What is this article?

CPC coupling, POM, male, w/o valve, nozzle Ø 6,4mm is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Bürkle for laboratory use. It sits in Hose connectors, adapters & fittings, inside Tubing, hoses & fittings, in Labware.

A hose connector or adapter joins two lines, or steps one bore down to another. The barb diameter has to match the tube, and the thread has to match the stopcock or the bottle. Most leaks are a mismatch here, not a hole in the tube.

Tubing is how a liquid or a gas moves between two vessels without being poured. Silicone stays flexible and survives repeated autoclaving. PTFE resists almost every solvent and is stiff. PVC is the ordinary flexible line for water and for mild aqueous work. The fitting, not the tube, is what usually leaks: the barb, the thread and the stopcock have to match the tube bore. Glass and plastic apparatus around these lines is indexed under ISO laboratory ware.
