Description
CPC coupling, PP, female, with valve and hose barb Ø6,5 mm is a compact quick-connect fitting for liquids, gases, compressed air and vacuum. The polypropylene body with EPDM seal provides a secure O-ring joint and is designed for reliable, leak-tight performance in laboratory and process setups. Within the same flow size, female couplings and male nipples can be freely combined. Spring and locking elements are stainless steel V4A. For the PP version, operating pressure at 20 °C reaches up to 8 bar and the working temperature range is 0 °C to +110 °C. With the valved design, mating halves click together automatically and open the valves; on one-hand disconnection the valves close, preventing spillage. Low space requirement, high flow capacity and straightforward handling make these couplings suitable for connecting and separating tubing, instruments, apparatus and containers. This CPC coupling from manufacturer Bürkle is supplied as a single piece for hose systems requiring a 6,5 mm barb interface.

Questions about CPC coupling, PP, female, w/ valve, nozzle Ø 6,5mm
What is this article?
CPC coupling, PP, female, w/ valve, nozzle Ø 6,5mm is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Bürkle for laboratory use. It sits in Hose connectors, adapters & fittings, inside Tubing, hoses & fittings, in Labware.
A hose connector or adapter joins two lines, or steps one bore down to another. The barb diameter has to match the tube, and the thread has to match the stopcock or the bottle. Most leaks are a mismatch here, not a hole in the tube.
Tubing is how a liquid or a gas moves between two vessels without being poured. Silicone stays flexible and survives repeated autoclaving. PTFE resists almost every solvent and is stiff. PVC is the ordinary flexible line for water and for mild aqueous work. The fitting, not the tube, is what usually leaks: the barb, the thread and the stopcock have to match the tube bore. Glass and plastic apparatus around these lines is indexed under ISO laboratory ware.
