Description

Crack-SET 20 14963 is a dedicated digestion reagent set for the determination of total nitrogen via nitrate methods 14563, 14542 and 14773. Each set supports 90 determinations of total nitrogen in sample materials containing a maximum of 15 mg/l N. The reagents enable thermal conversion of nitrogen species into a form suitable for subsequent photometric nitrate analysis. Empty 16 mm round cuvettes (article 250 621) are required as digestion vessels. Supplied by manufacturer WTW - a Xylem brand, the Crack-Set 20 is intended for laboratories that need reliable sample preparation before photometric total-nitrogen measurement. It is especially useful in water, wastewater and environmental testing where organic and inorganic nitrogen must be fully mineralised. The set format ensures consistent reagent quality across multiple runs and simplifies routine digestion workflows. When used with the matching nitrate test kits and 16 mm cuvettes, it provides a complete preparation pathway for accurate total-nitrogen results in process control and compliance monitoring.

What is this article?

Crack-SET 20 14963, Crack set 20 for Nitrate (14563, 14542 and 14773) for 90 det is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes WTW - a Xylem brand for laboratory use. It sits in Reference substances & reagents (other), inside Analytical standards & reference materials, in Lab chemicals.

A reference substance has a stated identity and a stated content, used to check a method or to standardise a titration. It is a more tightly specified article than a reagent grade bottle of the same name. The lot's certificate is part of the product.

A reference material is the article against which another result is compared. Its value is stated, and the uncertainty of that value is part of the product. An ICP or ion standard is a solution of known concentration. A volumetric standard is for titration. A chromatography standard is the peak you match. The grade names, including pharmacopoeia and ASTM, say which impurities were limited. Identity is checked on PubChem. Names follow IUPAC. Medicinal grades follow the European Pharmacopoeia and USP.
