Dry Block Heater 3 S002 is a digital block thermostat designed for three aluminium block inserts and precise temperature control of samples in small vessels. Supplied with a PT-1000 temperature probe, it regulates temperature directly in the sample vessels and accommodates PCR tubes, PCR strips, Greiner tubes, standard tubes, microtiter plates and cuvettes. Continuous temperature adjustment reaches up to 120 °C. A countdown timer runs from 1 min to 99 h 59 min, while a counter displays elapsed heating time; an acoustic signal marks the end of each run. Error-code display and a fixed safety circuit support reliable laboratory operation. This unit from manufacturer IKA is suited to melting- and boiling-point determinations, enzyme reactions, culture incubation and activation, immunoassays, DNA denaturation, media preparation, coagulation studies, blood urea nitrogen assays and in-situ hybridisations.
