Description
DURAN® burette Class AS with Schellbach stripe and glass key is a precision volumetric instrument intended for accurate titrimetric work and volumetric measurements. Fabricated from chemically highly resistant borosilicate glass 3.3, this 100 ml burette features precise scaling that enables the previously unknown liquid volume required for titration to be read with high accuracy after the reaction has finished. Calibration is carried out to deliver (“Ex”) at a reference temperature of + 20 °C, ensuring that dispensed volumes match the scale exactly because adhesion of liquid to the glass was considered during adjustment. Volume tolerances comply with the ISO and DIN error limits for accuracy class AS. The Schellbach stripe enhances meniscus visibility, main-point ring graduation aids clear reading, and a waiting time of 30 seconds is specified. Fitted with a straight NS stopcock and glass key, each unit is accompanied by a batch certificate (CoC) documenting the mean value, standard deviation and issue date of the given production batch; certificates are also available online. Designed for titration, volumetry and quantitative analysis, this DURAN® burette from manufacturer Duran/DWK Life Sciences is supplied in a pack of 2 pieces for laboratory use.
This article is part of Burettes, in Volumetric glassware.

Questions about DURAN® Burette, Class AS, Schellbach stripe and glass key, CoC, batch certificat
What is this article?
DURAN® Burette, Class AS, Schellbach stripe and glass key, CoC, batch certificat is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes DWK Life Sciences for laboratory use. It sits in Burettes, inside Volumetric glassware, in Labware.
A burette delivers a measured volume through a stopcock, which is how a titration is read. Class A and class AS state the tolerance. The stopcock, glass or PTFE, and the volume of the burette are the choices. A dirty bore changes the delivered volume.
Volumetric glassware is glass that has been calibrated to contain or to deliver one stated volume at a reference temperature. That calibration is the whole point. Class A and class AS have a tighter tolerance than class B. A volumetric flask contains. A pipette and a burette deliver. A measuring cylinder is the coarser reading, used when the volume is not the result. The classes sit under ISO laboratory glassware. The chain back to the unit of volume is the work of the BIPM and of NIST.
