DURAN® Original Laboratory Bottle GL 45, amber, USP and EP (3.2.1) is a 3500 ml multifunctional laboratory bottle formed from high-purity USP/EP Type I borosilicate glass 3.3. Supplied without screw cap and pouring ring, it features a fused external amber coating that protects light-sensitive materials from photodegradation while leaving the inner DURAN® glass properties unchanged. UV protection extends to approximately 500 nm and meets international USP/EP standards for the full service life of the bottle. A clear graduated volume scale and marking field in permanent white enamel, together with a printed Retrace Code batch identifier, support easy reading and full manufacturing traceability. The robust ISO 4796-1 design and excellent thermal and chemical resistance of borosilicate glass 3.3 deliver long service life. From manufacturer Duran/DWK Life Sciences, this amber GL 45 bottle is fully autoclavable at 121 or 134 °C and is suited to preparation, storage, transport and autoclaving of light-sensitive media and reagents as well as use as a culture vessel.
