Description

DURAN® Original laboratory bottle, clear, with DIN 168-1 thread and graduated scale is a multifunctional GL 45 bottle formed from high-purity clear USP/EP Type I borosilicate glass 3.3. This 15 l version measures 268 mm in outer diameter and 450 mm in height. The glass is valued for its outstanding thermal behaviour and high resistance to chemical influences; combined with the robust ISO 4796-1 design it ensures long service life. An easily readable graduated volume scale and a permanent white enamel marking field support accurate work and labelling, while the permanently printed Retrace Code guarantees full manufacturing traceability. The bottle is supplied complete with the familiar blue polypropylene screw cap (integrated lip seal) and drip-free pouring ring for clean, safe dispensing up to 140 °C. All components are fully autoclavable at 121 or 134 °C. Standardised GL thread and matched closure systems provide a particularly tight seal and simple, clean pouring. Suitable for autoclaving media and reagents, media preparation, sampling, use as a culture vessel, long-term storage and as a liquid container, this bottle from Duran/DWK Life Sciences has been the gold standard for laboratory bottles since 1972.
