Description
DURAN® protect laboratory bottle, clear and plastic-coated with DIN thread, is a large-capacity GL 45 bottle offering a nominal volume of 20 l. Formed from high-purity, nearly inert USP/EP Type I borosilicate glass 3.3 on the interior and finished with a protective PU plastic coating on the exterior, it unites chemical resistance with enhanced handling safety. The coating reduces the hazard of glass breakage and liquid splashes while contributing to long service life under the robust ISO 4796-1 design. Each bottle carries an easy-to-read graduated volume scale and a permanent white enamel marking field; a permanently printed Retrace Code batch identifier guarantees full manufacturing traceability. The safety coating meets ASTM E1522 requirements and remains fully autoclavable at 121 or 134 °C. Standardised GL thread geometry supports matched closure systems for a tight seal and clean pouring. UV protection extends to approximately 380 nm wavelength via the outer coating. Typical uses include autoclaving of media and reagents, media preparation, sampling, culture work, storage, transport and shipping of liquids. The bottle is supplied without screw cap and pouring ring from manufacturer Duran/DWK Life Sciences.
