Description

DURAN® reagent bottle, wide neck, amber, NS 60/46 with glass stopper is a classic stoppered laboratory bottle formed from DURAN® borosilicate 3.3 Type 1 glass for the storage of liquid and solid chemicals as well as reagents. The 2 l nominal volume bottle features a wide conical ground joint conforming to ISO 4796-2; the broader neck is especially practical for handling powders. Its glass stopper delivers an excellent seal that protects contents from evaporation, oxidation and contamination. A permanent white enamel marking field and Retrace Code enable clear labelling and full manufacturing traceability. External amber colouring shields light-sensitive materials against photodegradation and provides UV protection up to approximately 500 nm in accordance with international USP and EP (3.2.1) standards for the entire service life of the bottle, while the purely external colour layer leaves the internal DURAN® glass properties unchanged. Supplied by manufacturer Duran/DWK Life Sciences, the all-glass construction is suitable for aggressive materials, offers long-lasting chemical resistance of the amber finish, and includes an easy-to-read graduated scale. Typical applications cover storage of light-sensitive reagents, pharmaceuticals, chemicals and hygroscopic liquids.
