Description

DURAN® reagent bottle, wide neck, amber, with NS 85/55 ground joint and glass stopper is a classic laboratory storage vessel formed from DURAN® borosilicate 3.3 Type 1 glass. This 20 l bottle is intended for the storage of liquid and solid chemicals as well as reagents. The wide conical neck complies with ISO 4796-2 and is especially practical for handling powders, while the glass stopper delivers an excellent seal that protects contents from evaporation, oxidation and contamination. External amber colouration supplies durable UV protection up to approximately 500 nm in accordance with USP and EP (3.2.1) standards over the full lifetime of the bottle, without altering the internal DURAN® glass properties. Permanent white enamel printing provides a labelling field, Retrace Code for manufacturing traceability and an easy-to-read graduated scale. Consisting solely of glass components, the bottle offers long-lasting chemical resistance of the amber coating and is suitable for aggressive materials. Supplied by manufacturer Duran/DWK Life Sciences, it is ideal for storing light-sensitive reagents, pharmaceuticals, chemicals and hygroscopic liquids in laboratory settings.
