Description
DURAN® SUPER DUTY beaker, low form, with spout and reinforced rim is a 2000 ml laboratory vessel manufactured from borosilicate glass 3.3. Laboratory beakers, Erlenmeyer flasks and measuring cylinders are frequently subjected to high mechanical stress, for example during repeated dishwasher cleaning. The SUPER DUTY range was developed to raise the load-bearing capacity of these glass vessels. A specially formed reinforced rim markedly improves mechanical stability, impact resistance and overall robustness, thereby lowering breakage risk and enhancing operator safety. The longer service life and inherent corrosion protection also improve economy in daily use. A precise spout supports clean pouring, while the easily readable white graduated scale with line division is permanently fired into the glass for durable volume indication. Typical applications include work under strong mechanical load, heating, dilution of solutions, mixing of several components and measurement of liquid volumes. From manufacturer Duran/DWK Life Sciences, uniform and gradual heating is recommended to avoid thermal stress in the glass. Supplied as a single piece with a net weight of 0,5 kg.

Questions about DURAN® SUPER DUTY Beaker, low form, with spout, with reinforced rim
What is this article?
DURAN® SUPER DUTY Beaker, low form, with spout, with reinforced rim is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes DWK Life Sciences for laboratory use. It sits in Beakers, inside Beakers & flasks, in Labware.
A beaker is an open, straight-sided working vessel with a spout. It is for dissolving, heating and pouring. The graduations are a guide, not a volumetric calibration. Low form and tall form differ in stability and in how easily a liquid splashes.
A beaker is an open working vessel: easy to pour, poor as a measure. An Erlenmeyer flask has a flat base and a conical wall so a liquid can be swirled without climbing out. A round-bottom flask is for heating under a condenser, because the heat meets a curved wall and the joint at the neck connects to the rest of the glassware. Borosilicate is the glass that survives the temperature change. These forms are listed under ISO laboratory glassware.
