Description

DURAN® tamper-evident cap is a polypropylene screw closure for laboratory bottles with DIN 168-1 / GL 45 thread, designed to show at a glance whether a bottle remains originally sealed. On first tightening, a plastic ring locks firmly over the bottle neck; when the cap is opened the perforation tears and the ring stays on the neck as a clear integrity indicator. After the initial opening the cap continues to function as a standard screw closure. A lip seal with PTFE-coated silicone gasket provides a reliable seal. Compatible with all GL 45 threads, the closure from manufacturer Duran/DWK Life Sciences supports versatile use across bottle systems. Typical applications include liquid transfer between containers, long-term sample storage and archiving, and connection to spinner flasks and cell-culture vessels. The polypropylene construction combines chemical resistance with practical handling for routine laboratory bottle sealing where tamper evidence is required.
