Description

DURAN® three-way stopcock with PTFE key, complete, is a precision glass component designed for controlled flow routing in laboratory apparatus. Featuring a standard ground joint NS 14,5 and a T-bore of 2 mm, this stopcock represents the most common form of three-way valve used in glass systems. The polished PTFE key enables grease-free operation and is secured by a three-part stopcock retainer for reliable handling. Available settings allow connection of any two side arms, simultaneous connection of all three arms, or complete closure of all ports. Manufactured from borosilicate glass 3.3, the unit offers chemical resistance and thermal stability suited to further processing into custom glassware. Supplied as a complete assembly from manufacturer Duran/DWK Life Sciences, it is intended for integration into glass apparatus and laboratory devices where flexible multi-path control is required. Net weight is 0,048 kg. The design supports clean, reproducible flow management without lubrication residues, making it a practical choice for analytical and preparative setups.

Questions about DURAN® Three-Way Stopcock, with PTFE key, T-bore

What is this article?

DURAN® Three-Way Stopcock, with PTFE key, T-bore is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes DWK Life Sciences for laboratory use. It sits in Stopcocks & valves, inside Tubing, hoses & fittings, in Labware.

A stopcock opens and closes a line, or directs it between ports. Glass stopcocks have a ground plug that needs grease or a PTFE key. The bore decides the flow. A two-way and a three-way key are different parts.

Tubing is how a liquid or a gas moves between two vessels without being poured. Silicone stays flexible and survives repeated autoclaving. PTFE resists almost every solvent and is stiff. PVC is the ordinary flexible line for water and for mild aqueous work. The fitting, not the tube, is what usually leaks: the barb, the thread and the stopcock have to match the tube bore. Glass and plastic apparatus around these lines is indexed under ISO laboratory ware.
