Made of borosilicate glass 3.3 in DN 200, the set includes a porcelain plate and a stopcock with PTFE spindle. Desiccant in the lower base, separated by the sieve plate, binds moisture from samples placed above. Connecting vacuum via the stopcock accelerates drying as reduced pressure promotes faster evaporation. The flat ground joint should be well greased so the lid can be released after evacuation.
