Description

Cyanide electrode DX226 is an ion-selective electrode (ISE) half-cell with a solid-state membrane for cyanide determination in analytical laboratory work. Designated DX226-CN, this cyanide half-cell uses a POM shaft and covers a measuring range from 1,0 to 1,0E-05 mol/L at temperatures from 0 to 80 °C, with an optimal pH range of 4 to 13. Every ion-selective electrode and membrane module is checked by wet-chemical testing and must meet strict working instructions for several direct measurements plus a typical titration application; each ISE is given a serial number and supplied with a quality certificate. The modular half-cell concept separates a common shaft from an ion-specific membrane module, so the ion selectivity is defined by the screwed-on module and can be changed by fitting another membrane kit. Supplied as 1 pc from manufacturer Mettler-Toledo OnLine, the DX226 cyanide solid-state membrane electrode supports flexible ISE setups where laboratories need a dedicated cyanide half-cell with documented quality control and straightforward module exchange. Net weight is 0,215 kg for convenient handling on the bench.

Questions about DX226-CN ISE half-cell electrode

What is this article?

DX226-CN ISE half-cell electrode is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Mettler-Toledo OnLine for laboratory use. It sits in pH electrodes & sensors, inside pH & electrochemistry, in Lab instruments.

A pH electrode is a glass membrane and a reference. It is a consumable: the glass ages, the junction clogs, and the reading drifts. A refillable electrode and a gel electrode differ in how they are maintained. The connector has to match the meter. The electrode, not the meter, is usually what is wrong.

A pH meter is a voltmeter on a glass electrode. The voltage tracks hydrogen-ion activity, and the electrode is converted to pH only after it is adjusted with buffers of known value. Conductivity measures how well a solution carries a current, which for dilute salts tracks concentration. Dissolved oxygen and titration are further electrodes on the same idea: a sensor, a standard, and a reading that is only as fresh as the calibration. Buffer values and chemical identity sit on PubChem. Accreditation of the calibration laboratory is the field of BELAC and EURAMET.
