EC 4/3 NUCLEODUR C18 ISIS is an HPLC guard column featuring 1,8 µm particles for protection of analytical main columns in liquid chromatography. With a length of 4 mm and an internal diameter of 3 mm, it is intended for main columns of 3 mm, 4 mm or 4,6 mm ID. The pack contains three guard cartridges that trap particulates and strongly retained components upstream of the analytical bed, supporting longer main-column service life and more consistent peak shape. NUCLEODUR C18 ISIS provides reversed-phase C18 selectivity suited to pharmaceutical, environmental and general research HPLC applications. Available from manufacturer Macherey-Nagel, the cartridges must be used with the Column Protection System guard column holder (REF 718966). The EC 4/3 geometry fits standard EC column configurations and couples cleanly to compatible 3–4,6 mm ID main columns.
