Description

Stainless steel test sieve Ø 200 x 25 mm with stainless steel analysis sieve mesh conforming to ISO 3310-1 offers a defined mesh aperture of 425 µm (0,425 mm) for laboratory particle-size analysis. The circular frame has a diameter of 200 mm and a height of 25 mm and is produced entirely from stainless steel. The sieve cloth is joined to the frame by a soft-soldered seam. Each unit is supplied with a works certificate 2.1 EN 10 236. This sieve is intended for analytical fractionation of powders, granules and other particulate materials where reproducible mesh geometry is required. Supplied as a single piece, it fits conventional sieve stacks and laboratory shaker systems. From manufacturer Linker, the stainless steel construction supports repeated use in routine dry or wet sieving workflows. Clear specification of the 425 µm aperture within the ISO 3310-1 series aids selection and documentation in quality-control and research environments.

This article is part of Sieve accessories (lids, pans, rings), in Test sieves & mills.

What is this article?

Stainless steel analytical sieve Ø 200 x 25 mm, stainless steel analytical sieve cloth ISO 3310-1 is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Linker for laboratory use. It sits in Sieve accessories (lids, pans, rings), inside Test sieves & mills, in Lab instruments.

Sieve accessories are the lid, the pan and the intermediate rings that close a stack. The receiver pan is where the fines end. A lid from a different frame diameter does not seal the stack.

A test sieve sorts particles by whether they pass an opening. Wire mesh and perforated plate are two ways of making that opening, and the nominal size is not a suggestion. A sieve shaker repeats the motion so the result does not depend on how hard someone shook by hand. A mill or grinder makes the particles smaller before they are sieved. The certificate of the sieve, and the opening size, are what an audit asks for. Measurement practice around mass and dimension sits with the BIPM, EURAMET and BELAC.
