Description

FDO® 925-P is an optical IDS oxygen sensor equipped with a fast-response angled membrane for rapid and stable dissolved oxygen measurements. The bevelled membrane geometry promotes quick equilibration and helps shed air bubbles, supporting reliable readings in both still and flowing samples. Pressure resistance up to 10 bar allows use in deeper immersion or pressurised process environments. The electrode body carries a waterproof plug head that connects to AS/IDS-x cables, wireless modules or MPP IDS multiparameter systems, giving flexible deployment options without a permanently attached cable. Optical technology avoids electrolyte consumption and membrane replacement cycles typical of electrochemical sensors, lowering routine maintenance. Suitable for laboratory, field and process monitoring tasks, the FDO® 925-P from manufacturer WTW - a Xylem brand delivers precise oxygen data across a wide range of aqueous matrices. Supplied as a single sensor unit, it is ready for integration into digital IDS measuring setups requiring fast response and elevated pressure capability.

This article is part of Dissolved oxygen & multiparameter meters, in pH & electrochemistry.

What is this article?

FDO® 925-P, Optical IDS DO sensor with fast responding beveled membrane, pressur is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes WTW - a Xylem brand for laboratory use. It sits in Dissolved oxygen & multiparameter meters, inside pH & electrochemistry, in Lab instruments.

A dissolved-oxygen meter reads oxygen in a liquid, optically or with a Clark cell. A multiparameter meter adds pH, conductivity or both on one instrument. The sensor cap or the membrane is the consumable. A reading in air and a reading in water are different calibrations.

A pH meter is a voltmeter on a glass electrode. The voltage tracks hydrogen-ion activity, and the electrode is converted to pH only after it is adjusted with buffers of known value. Conductivity measures how well a solution carries a current, which for dilute salts tracks concentration. Dissolved oxygen and titration are further electrodes on the same idea: a sensor, a standard, and a reading that is only as fresh as the calibration. Buffer values and chemical identity sit on PubChem. Accreditation of the calibration laboratory is the field of BELAC and EURAMET.
