Description

Crude fibre crucible CFE, 30 ml is a specialised borosilicate 3.3 glass crucible designed for the determination of crude fibre content in established analytical systems. It features an outer diameter of 34 mm, a height of 60 mm and a VitraPOR® filter plate of porosity 1, enabling controlled retention during fibre isolation procedures. Every crucible carries an individual number that permits unambiguous sample identification throughout multi-step assays. The 30 ml working volume suits standard crude-fibre methods used in food, feed and agricultural laboratories. Manufactured by ROBU - Stereon, these crucibles combine the thermal and chemical resistance of borosilicate glass with a sintered filter base for reliable performance under heating and filtration conditions. Supplied in packs of 10 pieces, they support efficient batch processing and straightforward stock control. The numbered design reduces mix-up risk and improves traceability when several samples are handled simultaneously. These crucibles integrate readily into common crude-fibre apparatus and contribute to reproducible quantitative results in routine quality-control and research environments.

What is this article?

Filter Crucible, CFE, 30 ml, Ø 34 mm Por. 1, H 60 mm is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes ROBU - Stereon for laboratory use. It sits in Crucibles, inside Dishes, crucibles & porcelain, in Labware.

A crucible holds a sample in a furnace or over a flame, at temperatures that would soften a borosilicate beaker. Porcelain, platinum and glazed ceramic are different articles. The form, tall or wide, decides how fast a sample dries or ashes.

A dish is an open vessel for drying, evaporating or holding a solid. Porcelain and glazed ceramic take a higher temperature than borosilicate glass, which is why a crucible, not a beaker, goes into a furnace. A watch glass covers, or holds a small amount for drying. A mortar is for grinding. The temperature and the chemical, not the shape alone, choose the material. Laboratory ware of this family is listed under ISO laboratory ware.
