Description

Flow-through cuvette (compact) type 176.700-QS is a precision optical cell manufactured from high-performance quartz glass for continuous spectrophotometric measurements across the 200 nm to 2500 nm wavelength range. It features a 5 mm path length, an aperture of 11 × 3,5 mm, a centre height of 8,5 mm and a working volume of 195 µl, and is fitted with two M6 screw connectors plus FEP tubing for secure flow coupling. Hellma® precision cuvettes from manufacturer Hellma (IDL) are produced entirely in Germany and are compatible with all common spectrophotometers. Thermally bonded rather than glued joints give high resistance to temperature and chemicals and help prevent unwanted leakage. Selected high-performance quartz glasses provide excellent transmission above 82 % for accurate, reproducible readings. Chamfered edges support safe, comfortable handling and reduce the risk of chipping. The cells can be cleaned and reused over long service lives, offering a sustainable laboratory alternative. Manufacture follows EN ISO 9001 and EN ISO 14001 and meets demanding optical standards.

Questions about flow-through cells (compact) , 176.700

What is this article?

flow-through cells (compact) , 176.700 is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Hellma (IDL) for laboratory use. It sits in Cuvettes, in Labware.

A cuvette is an optical cell. The spectrophotometer or photometer sends a beam through a defined path length, usually 10 mm, and the absorbance is read from that path. Glass is for the visible range. Quartz or a UV-grade plastic is required below about 320 nm, because ordinary glass absorbs there. The path length and the wavelength window are the two numbers that choose the cell. The optical methods that use it sit with NIST and the BIPM. Laboratory ware is indexed under ISO laboratory apparatus.
