Description

Glass silk-insulated heating tape MIL-HT-BS30 provides dependable surface heating for laboratory vessels, tubing and process containers. This version is 1,0 m long and supplies a rated power of 250 W when operated at 230 V AC. An internal metal protective braid and outer glass silk braiding form a robust yet flexible construction measuring 30 x 5 mm, with a minimum bending radius greater than 15 mm. The heating conductor is rated for continuous temperatures up to 450 °C. The tape is delivered ready-configured with a 1,0 m connection lead without plug and is not moisture-protected. Offered by manufacturer ISOHEAT/SAF Wärmetechnik, the product supports heating-bandage and container-heating applications in both research and production environments. Net and gross weight are each 0,3 kg. Custom lengths and other heating capacities can be supplied on request, enabling exact adaptation to specific thermal-process needs while retaining the mechanical flexibility and temperature capability of the standard design.

What is this article?

Glass fibre insulated heating tape MIL-HT-BS30, 1,0 m, 250 W / 230 V is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes ISOHEAT/SAF Wärmetechnik for laboratory use. It sits in Heating tapes, cables & plates, inside Heating, drying & cooling, in Lab instruments.

A heating tape or cable wraps a tube, a valve or a vessel that has no mantle. Power per length and the maximum temperature are the specification. A tape overlapped on itself overheats. It needs a controller. Plugged straight in, it does not hold a set point.

Temperature equipment either holds a set point or drives a sample toward one. An oven dries. A furnace reaches the temperatures of ashing and melting. A bath surrounds a vessel with water or oil. A circulator moves that fluid. An incubator holds the mild warmth of a culture. An autoclave uses steam under pressure to sterilise. The number that matters is the temperature the article actually reaches, not the number painted on the dial. Temperature is part of the international system kept by the BIPM and compared by EURAMET.
