Description

Headspace caps with bore hole in aluminium for ND20 neck finish are intended for sealed headspace vials in gas chromatography and automated sampling. The aluminium shell includes a central bore hole that permits needle access through the septum after the cap has been crimped onto the vial. Each unit is equipped with a silicone/PTFE Agilent HT septum of 3,25 mm thickness, combining resilient silicone resealing with a PTFE barrier on the sample side for chemical resistance under headspace conditions. Supplied in packs of 100 pc(s) from manufacturer ROTH SELECTION, the caps support residual-solvent assays, volatile organic analyses and other GC headspace applications that rely on ND20 closures. The ND20 format aligns with standard headspace vials and laboratory crimping tools, promoting uniform seal quality across sample series. Aluminium provides the rigidity required for dependable crimping in busy analytical laboratories, while the Agilent HT septum specification addresses elevated-temperature headspace work. Approximate pack weight is 0,170 kg. These consumables fit established ND20 vial platforms and autosampler methods without modification of existing workflows.

Questions about Headspace-caps with bore hole, Al, ND20, Septum Silic./PTFE AGILENT HT, 3,25mm

What is this article?

Headspace-caps with bore hole, Al, ND20, Septum Silic./PTFE AGILENT HT, 3,25mm is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Carl Roth for laboratory use. It sits in Vial caps & septa, inside Vials, caps & septa, in Chromatography equipment.

A vial cap and a septum have to match the vial neck: crimp, screw or snap, and the diameter. The septum material, PTFE/silicone or rubber, decides chemical resistance and how many times a needle can pierce it. A septum that sheds into the solvent becomes ghost peaks.

An autosampler vial is the small closed bottle a chromatograph picks up. The neck is crimp, screw or snap, and the cap and the septum have to be that neck. The septum is the part the needle pierces. A soft septum reseals. A septum that is wrong for the solvent swells or sheds particles into the sample. Inserts reduce the volume when the sample is scarce. The separation they feed is described with IUPAC names and PubChem data.
