Description
Heating mantle PILZ® Classic-Line U2ER is a housed laboratory heating mantle with integrated power controller for round-bottom flasks of 4000 ml (flask diameter about 207 mm). It delivers 700 W at 230 VAC and supports a maximum permissible operating temperature of 450 °C. The rectangular powder-coated metal housing is built for larger volumes and offers robust chemical resistance, while the heating element is a hand-crocheted glass-silk body for even contact with the flask. Equipment includes a main on/off switch, a mechanical power controller for continuous 0–100 % output, and a heating-zone switch with status lamp so zone 1 or zones 1+2 can be selected across two heating zones. A detachable connector (0,50 m cable) and a personnel-protection plug with residual-current function plus Schuko type E/F mains lead (1,00 m) complete the set. Net weight is 4,1 kg and gross weight 4,4 kg; housing dimensions include width 270 mm and height 175 mm. From manufacturer Winkler, the U2ER Classic-Line unit suits controlled flask heating in research and preparative work where adjustable power and dual zones are required.

Questions about Heating mantle metal-cased PILZ® -Classic-Line- U2ER 4000ml 230V
What is this article?
Heating mantle metal-cased PILZ® -Classic-Line- U2ER 4000ml 230V is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Winkler for laboratory use. It sits in Heating mantles, inside Heating, drying & cooling, in Lab instruments.
A heating mantle cups a round-bottom flask so the heat meets the glass without a bare flame. The flask volume the mantle was knitted for is the specification. A 1 L mantle under a 250 mL flask heats the air, not the liquid.
Temperature equipment either holds a set point or drives a sample toward one. An oven dries. A furnace reaches the temperatures of ashing and melting. A bath surrounds a vessel with water or oil. A circulator moves that fluid. An incubator holds the mild warmth of a culture. An autoclave uses steam under pressure to sterilise. The number that matters is the temperature the article actually reaches, not the number painted on the dial. Temperature is part of the international system kept by the BIPM and compared by EURAMET.
