Description

Heating mantle with digital display and magnetic stirrer LBX HM02-D for 500 ml vessels combines electronic temperature setting with integrated magnetic stirring for routine laboratory work. An external Pt100 temperature sensor monitors the sample liquid in real time and shows the value on the digital display, supporting controlled heating of reaction mixtures and process media. The stirring speed range is 0–1600 min⁻¹, while the mantle surface can reach up to 450 °C; because of heat loss, the maximum temperature of the sample liquid is lower. Stirring and heating can run simultaneously in continuous operation mode, with rapid, uniform and safe temperature adjustment. The unit is supplied complete with a magnetic stir bar, an aluminium stand rod, a holding device and a Pt100 temperature probe, and operates on 220 V / 50–60 Hz. This compact instrument from manufacturer Labbox is intended for continuous laboratory use where combined heating and stirring of flask contents is required, and is covered by a 2-year warranty.

This article is part of Heating mantles, in Heating, drying & cooling.

What is this article?

Heating mantle with stirring and digital screen, LBX HM02-D, 500 ml, EU plug is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Labbox for laboratory use. It sits in Heating mantles, inside Heating, drying & cooling, in Lab instruments.

A heating mantle cups a round-bottom flask so the heat meets the glass without a bare flame. The flask volume the mantle was knitted for is the specification. A 1 L mantle under a 250 mL flask heats the air, not the liquid.

Temperature equipment either holds a set point or drives a sample toward one. An oven dries. A furnace reaches the temperatures of ashing and melting. A bath surrounds a vessel with water or oil. A circulator moves that fluid. An incubator holds the mild warmth of a culture. An autoclave uses steam under pressure to sterilise. The number that matters is the temperature the article actually reaches, not the number painted on the dial. Temperature is part of the international system kept by the BIPM and compared by EURAMET.
