Description

Heating tape PILZ® WBS is a silicone-insulated flexible heater with protective earth braiding, rated 160 W at about 75 W/m for laboratory and industrial surface heating. Maximum operating temperature is 200 °C; length is 2,2 m with a factory-fitted 1,5 m connection cable for 230 V supply. The build comprises four heating conductors, silicone insulation and an outer braid of tinned copper wires; dimensions are 13,0 × 5,0 mm, minimum bending radius is greater than 9 mm, and the tape is moisture-protected. It offers high, constant power per metre, high permissible operating temperature, extreme flexibility and simple mounting wherever fast heat-up or elevated temperatures are needed in the laboratory, technical centre or production environment. Always operate with a temperature controller; do not overlap heating tapes or lay them in direct mutual contact, and ensure good thermal contact with the workpiece, noting that the heater surface runs hotter than the heated object. This PILZ® WBS heating tape from manufacturer Winkler is supplied as a single piece ready for controlled installation.

Questions about Heating tape PILZ® WBS silicone insulated 160W, length 2,2m, Tmax. 200°C

What is this article?

Heating tape PILZ® WBS silicone insulated 160W, length 2,2m, Tmax. 200°C is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Winkler for laboratory use. It sits in Heating mantles, inside Heating, drying & cooling, in Lab instruments.

A heating mantle cups a round-bottom flask so the heat meets the glass without a bare flame. The flask volume the mantle was knitted for is the specification. A 1 L mantle under a 250 mL flask heats the air, not the liquid.

Temperature equipment either holds a set point or drives a sample toward one. An oven dries. A furnace reaches the temperatures of ashing and melting. A bath surrounds a vessel with water or oil. A circulator moves that fluid. An incubator holds the mild warmth of a culture. An autoclave uses steam under pressure to sterilise. The number that matters is the temperature the article actually reaches, not the number painted on the dial. Temperature is part of the international system kept by the BIPM and compared by EURAMET.
