Description
Heating cable PILZ® WKG glass-silk insulated, 300 W, Tmax. 400 °C is a flexible glass-silk insulated heating cable for laboratory, pilot-plant and industrial use when fast heat-up or high temperatures are required. Rated power is 300 W at about 150 W/m, with a maximum temperature of 400 °C. Cable length is 2,0 m and outer diameter is 6,0 mm; the minimum bending radius is greater than 6 mm. Construction comprises a single heating spiral, glass-silk insulation and a flexible glass-silk outer braid in two layers; the design is not moisture-protected. Nominal voltage is 230 VAC with connection leads of 1,0 m finished on both sides. Operation together with a temperature controller is always recommended. This PILZ® WKG cable from manufacturer Winkler delivers very high and constant power per metre, a high possible operating temperature, extreme flexibility and simple, economical mounting. Good thermal contact with the heated object is essential because of the high specific power; the cable must not be overlapped or placed in direct self-contact. When switched on, the heater surface temperature is always higher than that of the workpiece, for example a pipe. Fixed-resistance heating cables of this series are intended for controlled heating of apparatus and lines up to 400 °C.

Questions about Heating tape PILZ® WKG glass silk insulated 300W, length 2,0m, Tmax.
What is this article?
Heating tape PILZ® WKG glass silk insulated 300W, length 2,0m, Tmax. is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Winkler for laboratory use. It sits in Heating mantles, inside Heating, drying & cooling, in Lab instruments.
A heating mantle cups a round-bottom flask so the heat meets the glass without a bare flame. The flask volume the mantle was knitted for is the specification. A 1 L mantle under a 250 mL flask heats the air, not the liquid.
Temperature equipment either holds a set point or drives a sample toward one. An oven dries. A furnace reaches the temperatures of ashing and melting. A bath surrounds a vessel with water or oil. A circulator moves that fluid. An incubator holds the mild warmth of a culture. An autoclave uses steam under pressure to sterilise. The number that matters is the temperature the article actually reaches, not the number painted on the dial. Temperature is part of the international system kept by the BIPM and compared by EURAMET.
